Report on trends in past and projected emissions under the EU ETS

This report from the European Environment Agency highlights that in 2019 emissions from stationary installations covered by the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) decreased by 9.1%. Further reductions are expected in 2020, in part due to the Covid-19 crisis. However, further significant cuts in emissions are still needed to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The auction of emission rights can become an important source of income to support climate investments.
