Spain has created less green employment than the OECD as a whole

According to the OECD, 20% of the workforce occupies a “green job”, but in Spain the data are nuanced.
In its report, it includes work that does not directly contribute to the reduction of emissions, but whose demand increases, since they support these activities.
By contrast, about 7% are in greenhouse gas-intensive occupations.
And here, Spain lags behind, as its figures are higher.
Climate change will lead to a significant reallocation of jobs, as some jobs will disappear and new job opportunities will emerge, but also some jobs will have to be repurposed.
