CO2 market emissions in Spain grew_{by 9% due to refining, gasoline and aviation in 2022}

The industry saw its activity impacted by the energy crisis, with a total of five sectors falling between 9% and 21%.

CO₂ market emissions amounted to 103.28 million tons in Spain in 2022, representing an increase of 9.07% over the previous year.
This is due to increases in the combustion, refinery and aviation sectors, according to a report by Global Factor.
