The BOE publishes new measures for energy saving and efficiency certificates for large industry

The resolution published today establishes the procedure for applying a correction coefficient for actions that involve a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. Thanks to the measure, a company that implements an efficiency action that saves 200,000 teqCO2 per year and reduces its energy consumption by 200 GWh per year, could receive around 50M euros if we consider that the sale price of the CAEs is 100 euros per MWh. Up to 15% of the CAE granted in the same financial year may have a multiplier coefficient, considering the year in which the corresponding CAE is issued.
