The economic cost of climate change in Europe: Synthesis report on the state of knowledge and the main research gaps

The COACCH project (Co-design of the Assessment of the Costs of Climate Change) funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, aims to assess the economic costs of climate change in Europe. The study shows that the costs of inaction will potentially be significant in Europe and provides evidence of the significant economic benefits that can be gained from mitigation and adaptation.
