The report is structured around the “planetary boundaries.” For each boundary, indicators are used to show whether conditions remain within the range where risk remains low. Beyond that is the “increasing risk zone,” followed by the “high-risk zone,” where the likelihood of large-scale changes increases. The report reveals that seven of the nine boundaries have been breached; and they continue to point in the wrong direction.
