Impacts and risks derived from climate change in Spain

In the report of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, the documents published in the first National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC-1) and its last update published in 2020 (PNACC-2) are analyzed, highlighting a total of 10 areas of work and natural systems considered priorities, and study how the impacts of climate change affect each area. It also models those that may occur in the future in various climate scenarios. All future scenarios foresee increases in the average temperature of the country between 2 and 6.4 degrees Celsius, as well as a reduction in the water resources available in the rivers.
