Most large companies have climate strategies and targets that include commitments that appear to significantly reduce their contribution to global warming. The rapid acceleration of corporate climate pledges, combined with the fragmentation of approaches, means it is harder than ever to distinguish between real climate leadership and baseless greenwashing, compounded by a general lack of regulatory oversight.
