Conclusions of the European Council of December 2020

EU leaders have reached an agreement to respond to the concerns expressed in relation to the recovery package and have agreed to raise from 40% to 55% the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 in relation to the 1990 level . The Council’s conclusions state that the capitals will have the right to decide their energy mix and the use of the most appropriate technologies to achieve this objective.
