Scientific advice for the amendment of the European Climate Law

This advice is part of the Advisory Board’s mandate to assess the coherence of the EU’s climate objectives with the European Climate Law. It aims to support the EU in harmonising its long-term climate ambition. On this basis, this report reaffirms the Advisory Council’s 2023 recommendation, consolidates its 2024 and 2025 advice on policy opportunities, and introduces a new specific recommendation on adaptation.
