Amendments adopted by the European Parliament on the proposal for a regulation on ensuring a level playing field in the field of sustainable air transport.

The European Parliament amended the proposed definition of sustainable fuel to include recycled carbon fuels produced from processing gas and exhaust gases derived from the production process in industrial facilities. They suggested that some biofuels could be included in the aviation fuel mix for a limited time and included renewable electricity and hydrogen as a sustainable fuel mix.
