The Strategic Environmental Study of the update of the PNIEC 2023-2030 is open to public information

The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco) has opened the Strategic Environmental Study of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) 2023-2030 to public information. Allegations may be submitted until Friday, July 12, 2024.

The deadline for submitting allegations ends on July 12, 2024.

The process of updating the PNIEC 2021-2030 has been marked by various factors such as the increase in climate ambition at the European level, embodied in the European Climate Law and the Fit for 55 and REPowerEU packages, and the most recent energy context. The first milestone was the draft update of the PNIEC 2023-2030 sent to the European Commission on 28 June 2023. The draft update of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan was submitted for public consultation in June 2023.
