The production of 95 million tonnes of hydrogen has led to the emission of 900 million tonnes of_CO2

The data is from the International Energy Agency (IEA), which presented the Global Hydrogen Review 2023 report in November and in Madrid, a document that includes the latest global scale of hydrogen: that produced from water and with renewable energies (green hydrogen) and that manufactured from fossil fuels (blue or brown hydrogen).
According to the IEA, more than 99% of the hydrogen the industry produced in 2022 was dirty hydrogen.
To the point that the manufacture of the 95 million tonnes that the sector produced in 2022 resulted in the emission of 900 million tonnes of CO₂.
The problem is that, of the countless green hydrogen manufacturing projects on the table right now, only 4% have a firm investment decision.
