The Government finally recognizes the traffic jam in renewables and creates a specific unit to solve it

• Ribera acknowledges that the Ministry has been overwhelmed and that the installation has slowed down
• The Government believes that the installation would have reduced the impact of the energy crisis
• Miteco manages authorizations for 83 GW, but there are requests with access for 144 GW

The Ministry of Ecological Transition has decided to take a step forward and finally create a Division of Electric Power Projects that allows to accelerate the processing of renewable energy projects. To this end, Vice President Ribera has decided to create a unit that will depend on the General Directorate of Energy and that should serve to unclog renewable projects in Spain. The Government has generated a significant bottleneck in the processing of environmental impact statements, which has just ended this past February 25, and has to face now before June the granting of construction permits for a large number of clean energy projects.
