Spain must expand its high-power EV charging network to achieve Fit for 55 goals

The Spanish Association of Car and Truck Manufacturers (ANFAC) has presented the update of the ‘Map of charging infrastructure of public access in Spain, Fit For 55 Objectives’. This initiative, presented for the first time in 2021, aims to serve as a planning and monitoring instrument, marking a methodology and deployment roadmap consistent with the evolution that the light and heavy electric vehicle (EV) must follow to meet the emission reduction objectives of the European Union. Among other things, the publication states that Spain should multiply its high-power charging network by five.
