UN agencies responded on Tuesday to U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive orders withdrawing the United States from international forums where key issues such as the fight for public health and the fight against the increasingly serious effects of climate change are discussed. In addition, in the case of WHO, they carry out crucial humanitarian work in places such as Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan and Sudan. On Monday, Trump signed government decrees ending U.S. participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) and its adherence to the Paris Climate Agreement.
