Thirty-three nations and one region are joining forces to create a mechanism that connects resources, knowledge, and climate strategies to reduce CO2 emissions.
At a crucial moment for global climate governance, COP30 has put on the table one of the most ambitious initiatives of the decade: the launch of the Country Platform Hub. This mechanism not only consolidates an unprecedented framework of cooperation, but aims to transform the way countries coordinate their climate strategies, connect their national priorities with global commitments, and mobilize financing to address the environmental crisis.
“Through our action plan, we are working to strengthen national capacity, connect initiatives across regions, and ensure that developing countries take the lead in designing their own investment and transition strategies,” said Tatiana Rosito, Secretary of International Affairs at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, at a high-level ministerial event co-hosted by Brazil and the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
