Industrial decarbonisation receives €518 million to transform 17 Spanish factories

How can we reduce the polluting emissions that a factory or industry brings with it? The answer is to change the way in which it produces and it is at this point that the well-known industrial decarbonisation addresses the challenge in Spanish facilities that are already in operation. All with the aim in mind of modernising processes and reducing the consumption of fossil fuels; and in view of this, the PERTE comes with an aid plan that goes in that direction. The 2026 call gives a specific dimension to this effort. The resolution of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism grants 518.2 million euros to 17 projects, with a joint financeable budget of 1,250.8 million. These are grants awarded to undertake investments: the concession, by itself, does not prove that the emission reductions have already been achieved.
