Spain is the country with the most projects benefiting from the EU Innovation Fund

In total, our country has 29 projects related to innovative technologies

  • The European Union’s Innovation Fund seeks to deploy innovative low-carbon technologies, processes and products.
  • The Spanish projects are already linked to a grant of 1,286 million euros.
  • With the rise in VAT, the electricity bill could become 118 euros more expensive in 2025

With 8 new projects in the last call, and a total of 29 projects, Spain is confirmed as the country with the most projects benefiting from the European Union Innovation Fund. The projects, widely distributed throughout our geography, are linked to a volume of aid of 1,286 million euros.

The initiatives are related to very diverse sectors such as:

  • Manufacture of photovoltaic modules and wind turbines
  • Production of photovoltaic solar energy on water channels.
  • Recycling of plastics and textiles.
  • Green ammonia production
  • Production of low-emission building materials and glass
  • Geological carbon capture and storage.

In our country, the Sub-Directorate General for Carbon Markets of the Spanish Office for Climate Change acts as the national focal point for the Innovation Fund.
