China continues to bet on coal as the West fights against_CO2 production

The Asian giant produced about 60% of its electricity from this mineral

In 2016, the Communist Party of China (CPC) set itself the goal of reducing the use of coal and developing clean energy, such as solar or wind. Despite the fact that the country has built gigantic infrastructures to start renewables – including an ambitious plan to put solar panels on all roofs – China does not renounce one of the most polluting energies: that obtained by burning coal.
