Brussels urges all EU countries to act to reduce industrial emissions

The European Commission on Friday urged all EU countries to adopt the latest rules to reduce industrial emissions, something none of them have done despite the fact that they had to be adopted in national legislation before July 1 of this year.

The update of the directive on industrial emissions and emissions from livestock farming “increases its ambition by supporting innovation and transformation through the most effective emission reduction techniques,” the EU executive said in a statement.
