Brussels proposes to reduce_CO2 emissions

The European Commission on Wednesday adopted a proposal for the first voluntary framework at EU level to reliably certify high-quality_CO2 removals.

The European Parliament and the European Council will examine the proposal of the Community executive, which will have a group of experts to develop certification methodologies adapted for the different types of_CO2 removal activities. The first meeting of that group is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.
