Air traffic grows and gas emissions multiply

International air traffic is on the rise and, along with its growing contribution to greenhouse gas emissions, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Good news and bad news at the same time. This boom in jobs and volumes of money represents a challenge for the sector and the planned decarbonization goals in Europe. There are several proposals to achieve “green flights” and many resistances from the industry.
