The Government presents the proposal for a State Pact in the face of the climate emergency

On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers approved the proposal for a State Pact against the climate emergency, aimed at strengthening the mechanisms for adaptation, mitigation and recovery of public administrations in the face of extreme weather events, based on scientific advice, anticipation, institutional loyalty and the defence of the general interest and the common good. Over the next few months it will receive contributions from all interested parties, from political formations, to social agents, through agricultural organizations, ecologists or academics, among others – it will also be presented to the European Commission, Portugal and France – and at the end of the year the Government will present a new enriched proposal.
