Transforming industry: a need absent from the PNIEC

The journey towards the comprehensive transformation of the industrial sector is not an easy task and is called upon to face important challenges

Since 2019, those of us who are part of the climate, energy or environment sectors (or at least, we are interested in them), have frequently heard about the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan, or PNIEC. First published by the Government of Spain in 2020, covering the period 2021-2030, this text aimed to collect the country’s commitments in energy and climate, being the first major comprehensive strategic planning exercise in these matters.
