Ribera hopes to be part of the College of European Commissioners but calls for caution

The Third Vice-President of the Spanish Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, expressed her confidence on Tuesday that she will be able to continue working for a more integrated EU if she is elected as the future European Commissioner.

“It is no secret that the Government of Spain, the President of the Government, has raised the possibility of me being the member representing Spain of the College of Commissioners, thinking, precisely, that the right combination of the social green agenda and listening to the people is the best way to achieve economic progress”, he stressed at a press conference after the Council of Ministers.
