A linear increase in taxes per tonne of carbon emitted to €227 by 2050 would achieve the emissions reductions needed to meet the net-zero carbon emissions (NZE) target, according to one of the main conclusions of a study published on Monday by the Foundation for Applied Economics Studies (Fedea).
