Extreme heat waves, such as those experienced in recent weeks in the United States, southern Europe and China, would have been “almost impossible” without climate change, but in the coming years they will be more frequent if the goal of zero emissions is not reached. This is the conclusion of an attribution study prepared by the World Weather Attribution (WWA).
