Major e-commerce companies are on track to emit CO2 into the atmosphere equivalent to what 44 coal plants launch each year, according to a study, which concludes that Amazon and four other e-commerce giants still rely on fossil fuels to deliver their packages. In this way, online shopping remains a great enemy of the climate.
