The Wind Energy Business Association has just presented its latest Macroeconomic Study of the Impact of the Wind Sector in Spain, a document in which it exhaustively reviews all the key data that 2021 has left us, a year in which many of its numbers have skyrocketed. Just two examples to open your mouth. Never has the contribution of wind energy to the Spanish Gross Domestic Product (GDP) been so high: 5,539 million euros (the previous maximum barely exceeded four billion euros: 4,085 million euros, in 2019); and never paid so many taxes in one year: more than 700 million euros (M€).
