Chile among the nations leading the fight against climate change

Chile, rose to sixth place in the Climate Change Performance Index (IPCC), 2022, only surpassed by Denmark, fourth and Sweden, fifth, while in the specific category of control of “Greenhouse Gas Emissions” is the global leader.

However, by way of clarification, the first three places remain deserted since 2005, none of the 59 countries plus the European Union have managed to reduce carbon productions to limit overall warming to a maximum of 2 °C and as close as possible to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels agreed in Paris (2015). Also, proposing carbon capture actions is a necessity.
