Turning point of the Paris Agreement

The Climate Action Tracker organization publishes a startling analysis by its Climate Action Tracker (CAT) finding that global warming by 2100 could be as low as 2.1º C as a result of all net zero pledges announced as of November 2020. Included in this model is the announcement by China, the United States, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, and Canada that they intend to recently achieve net-zero targets. In total, 127 countries responsible for around 63% of emissions are considering or have adopted net-zero targets, bringing the Paris Agreement within reach.
