The EU Border Adjustment Mechanism after the French Presidency: state of play.

As part of the “Fit for 55” package aimed at reducing EU greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030, the European Parliament took a big step on 22 June 2022 through its vote on a new EU Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), complemented by its decision on the reform of the European Union Trading Scheme (ETS) on 28 June 2022.
