Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on fluorinated greenhouse gases, amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and repealing Regulation (EU) No 517/2014.

Fluorinated greenhouse gases and most ozone-depleting substances have a much higher global warming potential than carbon dioxide, so it is necessary to reduce their emissions to protect the health and well-being of citizens. The proposal on fluorinated gases will help the EU achieve its target of reducing emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050.
