The report provides data on production, consumption, imports and total exports of natural gas for the OECD, and trade in natural gas by pipelines and LNG. Natural gas accounts for around a quarter of global electricity generation, and although in the medium term it is considered to play an important role in supporting the transition to net-zero systems, its long-term use is uncertain.
