The IEA provides a 2023 update to its Net Zero roadmap, leveraging the latest data and analysis to determine what the global energy sector would need to maintain the 1.5°C target, especially in the crucial period between now and 2030. The conclusions are clear: while the global path to net zero by 2050 has narrowed, it is still achievable. It’s too early to give up 1.5°C.
