Electricity consumption increased to a pre-pandemic level, thanks to the recovery of industrial and labor activity. The economic recovery disrupted supply chains, which had a direct impact on the price of gas driving all-time highs in electricity prices, with the largest price increases recorded in Ireland, Portugal and Spain as a result of rising prices in the context of the economic recovery.
