Currently, the demand for materials is for uses not related to the energy transition; But as the transition progresses, demand is expected to grow. The 1.5°C scenario documents the scaling of energy transition infrastructure and critical materials needed to achieve climate stabilisation, including 33,000 GW of renewable energy and the electrification of 90% of transport.
