The year 2025 marks the first reporting period under the CSRD. At the same time, the European Commission adopted a simplification package, in order to improve competitiveness and attract investment. Regardless of transposition, many preparers have begun to publish their first ESRS-aligned sustainability statements, increasing the quantity, clarity, and insight of the information.
