Economic Effects of the EU CSDDD considering the Omnibus Process

The authors analyse the amendments that have arisen during the process and apply relevant theories on international social and environmental norms, deducing their possible effects. This section is followed by an overview of the effects of neoliberal globalization and social development. Based on theoretical and empirical analysis, the expected economic effects of the CDSDDD on the Global South, on the EU and on global competition are assessed.
