Comprehensive bill to achieve a net-zero greenhouse gas economy by 2050

Members of the United States House of Representatives introduced the Climate Leadership and Environmental Action for Our Nation’s Future Act (“Clean Future Act”). This Law aims to address climate change at both the sectoral and economic levels, and authorizes spending of 565,000 million dollars in the next decade to achieve decarbonization. The goal of the law is to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, consistent with the goal of limiting temperature rise to 1.5°C in order to avoid the most catastrophic consequences of climate change.
