Trolling renewable energy production by 2030 requires €1.8 trillion per year

A report by Climate Analytics indicates that €7.4 trillion is needed for new renewable energies

Meeting the goal of last year’s Climate Summit, known as COP28 and held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to triple renewable energy production by 2030 requires two trillion dollars of annual investment (1.8 trillion euros), twice as much as the current one.

That’s the projection made by Climate Analytics, a climate science and policy institute based in Berlin, Germany, in an analysis released Tuesday.
