The new legislature will debut with the electricity reform and the renewable explosion

The new Government must champion the changes in the wholesale electricity market that are being negotiated in Brussels and complete the ‘new’ NECP so that thousands of ‘green’ megawatts come to fruition.

The reform of the wholesale electricity market of the European Union and the completion of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) will mark the energy agenda of the new Government. The PSOE has made clear what its vision is and bets everything on the development of renewable energies, while on the side of the Popular Party they have opened the possibility of extending the life of nuclear power plants and bet on less intervention, ending with the ‘Iberian exception’ and the cap on the extraordinary income of the large electricity companies.
