The European Union agrees to promote the progressive phase-out of fossil fuels at COP28

The countries of the European Union have agreed to promote the progressive elimination of fossil fuels at COP28.

It is part of the 27’s pledge to support and accelerate the energy transition ahead of the climate summit in Dubai next November.
