EU reaches key agreement to reduce_CO2 emissions

Member States and the European Parliament agree on the reform of the emissions trading system (ETS) to reduce industrial and invest more in climate-friendly technologies

The member states of the European Union and the European Parliament, co-legislators of the community club, reached an agreement in the early hours of Sunday on the reform of the emissions trading system (ETS), which since 2005 puts a price on greenhouse gas emissions released by energy-intensive industries and the power generation sector. This is a key agreement to reduce_CO2 emissions.
