EU announces more ambitious targets to reduce_CO2 emissions in transport

The European Parliament approved the agreement reached with the Council on new_CO2 emission reduction targets for new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles for 2035, as part of the Fit for 55 package. In addition, the Commission has proposed a target of zero emissions from 2030 for new city buses and a 90% emission reduction for new trucks by 2040.
