Offshore wind starts in Spain after Portugal and France are ahead

The Government has already prepared the Maritime Space Management Plans and advances in the regulatory framework to set the rules of the game. The first capacity auction will arrive in the first half of the year.

The Government has already prepared the Maritime Space Management Plans (POEM) and with it begins the development of offshore wind technology in Spain. All that remains is for them to be approved by the Council of Ministers and the intention of the Executive is to set the regulatory framework as soon as possible and launch throughout the first semester what will be the first auction of this technology in the country.
