The energy sector will reduce its emissions by 69% by 2050

Solar energy is the leader: it will multiply its capacity 22 times by 2050, while wind energy will do so by 12 times

Statkraft, Europe’s leading renewable energy producer and leader in the PPA market, has published a new edition of its ‘Low Emissions Scenario’ report, in which more than 50 of the company’s experts and analysts advance the energy reality for the 2050 horizon.

The study concludes that the energy sector will be able to reduce its emissions by 69% by that year, which would allow it to meet the path of limiting global warming to below 2ºC.
