The map of biomethane in Europe embarrasses Spain

Spain has only nine biomethane projects compared to 675 in France, 254 in Germany, 133 in Italy and 119 in the United Kingdom

There are many pending issues in the field of energy, but biomethane is undoubtedly one of them in Spain. The potential is enormous, and it is a more than proven technology, but it has not been promoted by the administration as it deserves or other European countries have done. The European Biogas Association has just published devastating data on biomethane in the Old Continent, which leaves Spain in a very bad place. The new edition of the Biomethane Map shows a 37% increase in biomethane capacity in the EU compared to the previous map
