Teresa Ribera, during the Madrid Climate Summit: “A global problem requires a global response”

The Summit, part of the agenda of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, aims to build a great international coalition that will keep the 1.5 degree commitment in force.
With two months to go until the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in the United Arab Emirates, Madrid is hosting the International Energy and Climate Summit, as a prelude to the major annual event against climate change. The Vice-President of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, and the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, hosted an event that aims to build a large international coalition to maintain the commitment to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees.
